Now that is a very technical term, everyone: soaping!
I have had garden inspired goat milk soaps on my mind lately.
In this case, basil, thyme and mint. Beautiful aroma. I cannot wait for the bars to cure in 3-4 weeks.
I am also putting together color cordinated handcrafted cotton washcloths, goat milk soaps, and barn siding gift crates for a retail location. A touch of raffia, biodegradable cellophane bags, and labeling, and they will be set to go.
A bright garden spot on a peaceful rainy Monday morning!
Sounds lovely!
Amy
Thank you, Amy. Have a beautiful day.
sounds like a pretty exciting new line, mary!! good luck with it. i’m sure you’ll do fine. 🙂 any pix of the handmade washcloths?
oh… i think i see one in the photo, yes?
Yes, Lynnanne. There were several in the photo. I am considering asking her to make some more wash cloths over the summer months, while she is on spring break. She used 100% cotton yarn, and neutral/natural colors. I was able to color match with soaps in the crates/gift baskets.
The next go-round, I will post clear pictures of the wash cloths!
VERY CUTE gift baskets! Ok, it’s almost time for some of those new soaps! I love the herb scents. You are having too much fun! 🙂
Hey there! I need a journal of this week, one I can accurately roll into a blog post, then you might not be saying I am having too much fun. Ha. Just kidding! Making soap, and turning out the baskets, was a lot of fun.
I’ll bet they are gorgeous!
I can’t wait till my garden takes off.
I need to find me some downed trees and make me a garden bench! Thanks for the idea!!
I am not adding any colorants to these soaps, just fragrance, and mainly essential oils.
Oh, I love the idea of making a bench from downed trees!
