Don’t you just wish you could reach that itch a bit better?
Perhaps you could enjoy a warm sunny day by stretching over a rock, twisting your body around in circles, contorting, just for that great belly scratch?
Funny.
This is the third grown goat doe I have seen do this today. Why I have never noticed it before, I do not know. But they now have my full attention.
By the way, the doe in the photo is Peachy. A two year old snubian (saanan/nubian) cross that is great on the milk stand this year, first time freshener. The only problem, and it is not a fun one, she screams and yells the entire time I am milking the herd. Yet, when she finally decides to come into the milk room (last) she stares at the door as if she has no idea why she is there. Peachy, a mess.
Enjoy your day!
I’m going out in search of a rock now. lol
Ha, ha, ha…I can see it now!
Ours rub along the ground – especially liking places the sun has warmed – looks like a herd of break dancers at times! Poor Peachy – sounds a tad bipolar! thanks for sharing – a place to be comfy is always welcome
Oh yes, Linda Sue, I have seen the goats do that as well. Even on their backs, wiggling down the hill, head first, upside down. Loved your break dancers description. I had a laugh.
Too funny but I might hurt myself if I tried it the goat’s way, LOL!
Amy
You think? Ha!
Mine do like Linda Sue’s. Rolling on their backs in the sun. Maybe because I don’t have a great big rock like yours!!
Funny. They really can pick up rythem to whatever they are doing.
I do have some of those itches I wish I could reach. Now why didn’t I think about a rock?? I have to holler for my husband to come scratch that place in the middle of my back. Who knew a rock could replace him? LOL..
Love the picture of Peachy. My kind of woman. Likes to be heard.
Your soap looks wonderful.
Have a great day.
Pam
Peachy is a mess. Funny how you never know they have a voice until they give birth.
Thanks, you have a great day too!
Ours like using the big rocks we have in a couple pens to jump, play on and take a nap on them when it is sunny out, I know your goats would be jealous of our HUGE rocks we have here which I’m sure you have seen pictures of our rocks.
Amy
Amy, I am sure they would love your rocks. They are huge.
Oh Mary, that’s hilarious! I’ll be the goats really enjoy that big rock – it’s just the right height for the grown-ups, I guess. Babys will just have to wish… thanks for the laugh today!
They are nuts. Cammille goes round in circles while on top of the rock. I guess she likes to scratch in circles.
That is Hilarious!!
Everyone needs a scratching rock, Tonia!
Ha! My horse like the small cedar pines to walk across and back up to. So funny to watch!
I bet that really is a sight!
