I added a new soap to the Annie’s Goat Hill online soap store, Tea Tree and Lavender!
Tea Tree and Lavender is an all natural soap containing pure essential oils, no colorants, and fresh goat milk.
If you are familiar with tea tree essential oil, you will readily agree with me, it does not have a “pretty” scent. Tea tree is an essential oil very much in demand with a long history of uses in the world of aromatherapy and skin care.
If you have any questions, I will be more than happy to answer them. I welcome your email, call, or questions/comments here!
On a personal note, we will be waving good-bye to the deep freeze that has gripped us for the past several weeks! Seemingly every joint in my body ached from the extreme cold and damp. It was difficult, especially the trip up and down from the barn! Now, I am busily working on getting the (pre) and holiday pounds off. The less weight we carry, the better an old body feels!
Have a wonderful week!

“Waving goodbye to the deep freeze”? Does this mean you’re going on vacation, or that I should be paying attention to the weatherman who is saying blue skies and tropical winds will be approaching? lol
Funny, Lynnanne. As I write my fingers are falling off, frozen. Seriously, yes, a heat wave is on the way. We are to see temps above 20, and even above 30 towards the end of the week beginning tomorrow. It is welcome!
My little computer weather indicator is saying 25F…. I guess that is a heat wave. 🙂 Hope your fingers thaw .. don’t forget that cool water on cool fingers thing… it seriously helps. 🙂
your joints are aching too? I have bursitis in my right shoulder and I always thought bursitis for people sorta came and went but mine has been bad for a looong time, I’ve tried all sorts of remedies and nothing helps. All of a sudden I have a finger knuckle that’s really giving me a fit.
I have to say, Tea Tree and Lavender sounds wonderful.
Joanna, yes! My fingers got cold this afternoon. My left thumb began aching like crazy. Old age is setting in. Ha!
It seems the dampness combined with the below-freezing temps is the worst.
I can see how a person that falls into frigid water ends up in tremendous pain (within minutes). It would be horrifying!
Thanks for the reminder, Lynnanne!
I need the warmer temps later this week. I am beginning to run out of ice-less water buckets.
Now if you could create a soap that would take away the aches and pains of living with the cold temperatures and hard work, ( you’d be rich, rich, rich!)guess that comes with lathering up your wonderful goat milk soap in a hot bath and soaking them away. AFTER you do all the work that makes the soap!
Soap and lotion for that purpose, and goat milk products to boot, that is the ticket!
Mary,
I am sending warm wishes your way. Sorry to hear about the effects from the harsh winter temps. I hope that viewing some of the Texas blogs will warm your heart, soul, and fingers as we are attempting to encourage and bless our frozen friends through this winter season. My post is kind of ridiculous, but then again I can’t take things too seriously. The Lord has been teaching me how to laugh!
Debbie
No, not rediculous, Debbie! It was a belly full of laughs! That did indeed cause some spreading of Texas warmth.
I have heard that tea tree oil is good for sore muscles, although I have not tried it.
I can use some pound shedding too. I just have to find time to work on the shedding part.
But climbing the stairs at school is definitely gonna help!
Becky, when you get the time, I would love to hear more about your schooling. How is it so far? I am excited for you!
