You are going to be HOW old? Gasp!
Life is one fast ride!
Sunday is my 51st birthday. Isn’t it amazing how 50 years old seemed so ancient when you were 20? Now, I find it entertaining that 70 can seem young when I am 50!
What was your most significant birthday?
25 was a difficult one for me. I can laugh at it now. I had 2 small sons. I was happy as a mother. My existence wrapped around those two boys! But somehow the mile markers in my life had whipped past me. 12 was a big birthday, 13, then 16, 18, 21…and 25, what was so special after that? Believe me, I was not depressed, not one moment…but I felt really-really old! Tee hee!
Life is special!
I love the wisdom, the learning, the blossoming of who you are. And with an older age years under the belt comes the warmth in really knowing the true friends and family, those that are cemented into your life. Would I want to turn the clock back? No!
Could I possibly, though, turn some of the body parts clock back? Just a tad bit? Please? Then I remind myself that God designed this body, He thought it was pretty special, and he knew it would someday begin to age.
Have a great weekend! Enjoy!
Happy birthday Mary! I’m getting an early start because I’ll be selling my soap at the farmers market tomorrow. Doesn’t it feel good to have experienced so many things and seen all the changes we’ve seen in our years. Gosh! I think 50 was my most significant birthday. Oh yes and please EAT CAKE! Good cake!
It’s officially after midnight! Haaaaappy Birthdaaaaaay (insert goat baaahs here, sorry, couldn’t help myself.).
26 was my absolute worst… not because of the age, but because my dad died on it… i’m pushing 50 and can’t wait! (geez…. did i just say that? lol)
at any rate… YOU have a wonderful day! maybe the goats will throw you a party!
Wishing you a blessed birthday!
Happy birthday Mary! So true that when you’re 20, 50 is ancient, lol. Hope you have had a great day (so far), eat drink & be merry…always 🙂
Hello! Thank you for the smiles!
We spent the day with friends. My husband surprised me with ice cream covered brownies. He snuck them over to the friend’s freezer yesterday. It was fun and simple. Not much better than that!
Happy, happy birthday! (belatedly) A simple birthday has become my favorite. A day with loved ones, no fuss, just simply relaxing. You’re such a young one still, and with health and passion for your family, goats, soaps, and the life God has given you, then a blessed birthday too!
Kathy, feeling the same about a simple birthday.
Yes, my passions and faith are my backbone.
Thank you for the e-card. It touched my heart this morning.
Have a blessed day!
Happy happy birthday to my sisterfriend in Ohio! Keep using that goat milk soap and your maturing skin will be the least of your worries. While I was in NY, I left my Ocean Breeze goat milk soap in my Auntie O’s shower, and my sister Mona confiscated it! I wouldn’t have known, but her bag had to be searched at the airport and there it was… taped up in a soap container with her other bar. I couldn’t very well ask her to break the seal, now, could I? Glad to pass another bar along to her.
So what kind of fun did you get into on your birthday?
Oh my dear new friend…Happy Happy B-day…hope it’s gone well…..and it is amazing how old the 50’s used to seem…..i’ll be 55 in october 🙂

Lylah, I am finding this age to be a blessing.
My birthday was a nice one, quiet, enjoyable!
