I have been weighing out the pro’s and con’s of starting a new blog for a very long time.
My longing is to write about anything and everything that I feel passionate about. Most of those thoughts have nothing to do with the soap business.
The Annie’s Goat Hill Handcrafted soap website will be re-designed in the future, with the link to this blog located on the main navigation page of the new site. It only makes sense to me to ensure a big portion of the blog content is related to soap, products, the soap business, the farm (milk wouldn’t exist without it), and bits and pieces of me (who I am).
One of the joys that I have come to know as a business owner is the reality that I can be myself. I love it! I have the capability and power to make my own decisions, to guide my own ship(s). And writing is a boat that has sat at the dock.
So, the decision was made to start a new blog, www.Mary-Humphrey.com, geared towards writing, and link to it and the posts here (for a while). For those of you that have expressed your enjoyment of my posts, I would love for you to follow me over!
Marching forward!

Annie’s Goat Hill Handcrafted Soaps – where you can Smell and Feel the Goodness!
Off to add your new blog address to my blog roll. Which I can still read your blogs and keep up with Facebook and my e-mails when my Kindle Fire gets here and can listen to some podcasts as well as many more things, it should be here soon & I’ll let you know how I like the Kindle Fire and I’ll share it with my parent’s as well, eventually my Mom is leaning towards getting herself a Kindle Fire instead of an ipod so she’ll look at mine first and if she likes she’ll think about getting one for herself.

Hello Amy –
Thank you for adding my new blog address to your blog roll! I’ll look forward to hearing about your Kindle Fire. I was so against electronic books, but my way of thinking now is, I had better get on the bandwagon. There are a lot of good books available in Kindle format, and sometimes even free ones. I do not think the electronic books will ever totally replace paper books though, as I had feared, because they are good reference points. I own a number of books that I refer to often that aren’t always convenient unless I can carry the book around, and mark it up as needed!
Enjoy your day!
I still rely on paper & hardback books but I don’t like hauling a bunch of books on trips though especially since we don’t usually have a whole lot of room when we travel but looking into maybe a motor home. I found a lot of free Kindle books.
I’ll do a post or let you know about my Kindle Fire, it looks like it might be here today! At first I was hesitant about getting a Kindle but then I figured why not especially while on the go if I don’t want to pack a whole lot of books, my brother, sister-in-law, and sister enjoy their Kindle’s and my brother-in-law and 10 year old niece both have a Kindle Fire and now I’m getting one, I thought I might as well jump on the bandwagon too, I paid for it and the case with my own money and did the free shipping on both.
