Or, is it you cannot put a round peg in a square hole?
Whichever way it goes, it doesn’t.
But aren’t you glad we can be a community of differences?
A true leader in life is one that can truly be her (or him) self. Why not?
A true leader also accepts and embraces diversity.
A true leader does what is right, even if it means the square peg doesn’t fit into the round hole. Why follow the crowd, why pretend the peg fits?

Mary, I don’t think you and I would ever pretend that it fits. We would be discussing ways to modify it to make it fit. LOL
Becky – Yes, ma’am, we most certainly would!!!
Good post!

Thank you, Amy!
You’re welcome!

“Whichever way it goes, it doesn’t.” LIKE. Super post, and a great reminder of how important it is to embrace people and ideas that challenge how we view the world.
We defnitely learn so much by embracing diversity. I also look at this as allowing our own selves, as business owners, and as individuals, to be individual…to not fall into the trap of following each footstep of others. We can be different…set the pace!
Great post, Mary! So true that regardless of our differences, we can exist and work together to accomplish much for the greater good. Differences do bring us out of our preverbial boxes and stretch us to grow. This is a good thing!
Amen to that, Ginger! A closed mind gets us going nowhere.
