It is that time again on our farm.
The geese are nesting, the goats are having kids, and spring clean up (along with the mud) begins.
We, the ones that tend to the animals, become a bit sleep deprived.
We look for calm waters, smooth sailing seas (God bless those that are suffering right now, Japan is on our minds), knowing that we are to enjoy the spring, as kids are not born year round, and spring is so very welcome! Such a blessing it all is!
We are running on a 1-3 day turnaround in fulfilling retail orders, with the premise that everything falls into place, and it does!
Thank you to our recent new wholesale customers, store locations, soon to be posted to our website. We are happy to have products available this spring in wonderful locations where folks will be out and about, leaving winter’s cabin fever behind!
Please let us know if you need anything…and do not hesitate to email us as anniesgoathill@gmail.com . We treasure chatting one-on-one with you!
I remember those sleep deprived days of kidding season!

Yep! It is beginning to slow down now, Amy. We are working to catch everything up on the farm and business-wise. We also have a few special care ones we are tending to.
We’ve had some special care ones too! It is kind of nice and relaxing here on the farm since we’re not doing kidding season here, all there is around here is the usual chores here at Pine Pod Farm. We’ve been meeting at church on Sunday afternoons but only on the 1st and 3rd Sundays though except for special holidays.

Living on a farm…..spring is always busy.
Fence mending (which is what we did today), garden plowing, seed starting and tending, basic clean-up from winter……
But I wouldn’t trade it for the city life!
Good luck to you, Mary!
Fence mending – does it ever stop?
Garden plowing – oh…I want to move so badly so we can do that very thing! I may have a garden started before we move. There I go…I just convinced myself.
Seed starting, not here, too cool.
Becky, you hit the nail on the head, gal! No, I would not trade it for the world either!!!!
My Dad just planted peas on St. Patrick’s day and some yesterday as well.
Amy
I wish we liked peas more in our household, about all I can say about them is, they are pretty! I love seeing them grow too. What else will your dad be planting early?
We enjoy peas very much especially from the garden! I’m not sure what else he has planned to plant early, I know he usually gets tomato plants and pepper plants, etc. though.
Amy
eager to see some kid pictures – we aren’t having babies in our herd this year and I am in serious withdrawal! DH has decided to take over our gardening this year and I’m eager to see how he does (I’ve failed terribly in recent years!)
I hope you blog about your husband’s gardening efforts! My DH seems to know more about gardening and canning than I do, well, he did. He taught me and then I took off with it. We are planning a garden this year, after a number of years without one. We will be comparing notes, Linda Sue!
I do need to post some kid pictures! I’ll do that!!!
