When I call and you choose to respond to me with sharp words. Go ahead. I love you regardless.
When you call and talk about all of the problems that have affected your world recently. Go ahead. Life sure isn’t easy, is it?
When you do not believe that I am honest, with integrity, with full intentions of doing what is right, so be it. I cannot please the world.
But, when you call or write and tell me you love my products, my work, my customer service, my blog posts, my Facebook page, or Twitter, I so appreciate your acknowledgement of my hard work.
So, you’ve had a bad day? That’s okay!
(Note, I have been assisting my husband with his business the past several weeks. Dealing with customers has been interesting. With the right attitude, it can be a life-learning and strengthening adventure. We have to look at the world with humor and positive thoughts. Perhaps, just perhaps, I’ll make a difference in someone’s bad day.)
You are SO right, Mary.
Why encourage a negative attitude by being negative.
Sometimes a positive response is what someone who’s having a bad day needs to turn their day around.
I always smile at people when I’m out and about, you never know how it could impact a persons mental attitude for the day or longer.
Becky, especially for the customer service needs that I help my husband with, I tell myself that I am not in people’s shoes. They could be having a bad day. They could be having a bad year. I try to not judge, even when they strike out at me personally. It is not always easy. But why add fuel to the fire? We do our best, and in my opinion, my job is to make it as smooth as possible.
So very true!
Amy
Thanks, Amy.
Too true – many complaints don’t have much to do with a service or a product – but a person’s inability to express their need clearly and with a smile!
Linda Sue, I find that people seem pre-disposed to certain things. They assume and lot, so they do no see clearly that the world is a better place. It is a shame. But we cannot change it. We can only change ourselves.
Mary, my daughter Mary has been working at a fast -food restaurant since June (her first job). She comes home almost every night with all kinds of stories. I have to remind her not to take everything personally, unless it’s her fault, then admit it and correct it. Some people just don’t think, but that’s part of life in business.
Having many years of experience, you and I are much the wiser of these things. I hope you have a wonderful coming week.
Hi there! I agree. With wisdom we do not take things personally, instead, we think about the person that is striking out, knowing that they may have had a bad day, or perhaps are having a bad time of things in general. It really is not a good excuse to forget how to treat others, but, I do not focus on that at all. I am sure you do not do it either. As the saying goes, it is what it is. Life is too short to focus on anything but the positive.
I hope you have a wonderful week too!
hair care should also be supplemented with oral vitamins and minerals, biotin helps a lot in making healthy hair ‘.~
You are so right!
My neighbor began supplementing with biotin after her hair began thinning. She regained her hair thickness.
Thinning hair can be caused by many things (hormones, stress, poor diet, etc…), and is best diagnosed by a professional.
