I visited a friend in the hospital today. It was a good visit. We had not seen each other in a long while. The visit ended with the lingering reminder of how much I do love my friend, and how very quickly life passes.
My friend is going to be okay. She will get well. But what if it had gone in the opposite direction?
I have a lot of catching up to do. And I am glad to be reminded. Busyness tends to drag us away from what really matters, if we let it.
Have a beautiful day!
Yes, busyness does take us away from what really matters! We need those reminders every once in awhile! My parent’s and myself are getting ready to visit both of my Grandma’s ( one is 88-my Mom’s Mom and my Dad’s Mom is in her 80’s as well) and I’m glad we have this time to spend with them at the Assisted Living in Louisville, Ohio.

That sounds like a good trip, Amy. Be safe and enjoy your time with your grandmothers.
yes ma’am -work is a good thing but when all is said and done – love and relationship is the only thing really worthy – bless you and your friend – being too busy for those we love is being too busy
Hello Linda Sue, you hit the nail on the head, directly.
Good reminder in these times of busy-ness. Thank you, Mary. I’m glad you were able to reconnect with your friend. I must take those opportunities, I’m reminding myself.
It was truly a nice trip, we had lunch with my Grandma’s, my Dad & I sat with my Dad’s Mom and my Mom sat with her Mom at 2 different tables and lunch was lovely.
That is great to hear, Amy. I am sure your grandmother’s enjoyed the time together. They sound very sweet.
Yes it does!
I have been trying to slow things down a bit and spend time with friends, but life just WILL NOT cooperate. *sigh*
You are trying, that is a plus!
