I sat on the yard swing at daybreak this morning in the cool air.
As I sat down I felt the dampness of dew against my legs. It was not a bother.
I held a warm coffee mug in my hands and closed my eyes.
I listened to the morning doves, the chirping birds, the frogs, and the goose enjoying his bath on the pond.
It was beautiful.
The words “Thank you” came from my lips.
It was nothing short of pure life, nature’s awesome goodness.
Amen! sometimes words are unnecessary – we are just to experience the moment.
I agree, Linda Sue.
Many people live a lifetime without ever discovering the true joy that you just described…
Life goes all too fast. I wonder at times about our schedules. It felt good to put something else into it, other than the rush and daily grind. And I will be doing it again.
It is pure joy.
I love those kinds of mornings! Unlike this morning….fighting with a pool pump and trying to clean the pool…it was just not working for me today. I gave up! Now I’ll enjoy the rest of the day.
And I hope you did enjoy the rest of your day!
Amen to that Mary!

Spiritual bliss. That’s what it is. Bless you today, Mary.
