Have you had one of those days where the challenges felt nearly unbearable?
One minute you are gliding right along, the next you realize your well-laid out plans are going to crash, and fast.
What do you do?
And, why do things seem so much more challenging with Christmas 4 days away?
What does this tell us?
Pay attention to only the big things, and remember, everything is small stuff?
When everything is going in fast motion, and your head is still wanting to sort it all out, how about stepping off the fast-moving train and sticking your tongue out to it all? Sounds good to me.
Children are able to do that exact thing, shrug it off, live for this very moment. I think we can too.
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. Matthew 5:9

If I’m overwhelmed with stress, I just try to concentrate on putting one foot in front of the other, and walk through it.
Oh boy, did you hit a tender spot here.
I think I have a bungy cord attached to me, cause everytime I jump off the train, something jerks me right back on.
Hello, Joanna. I had one of those mornings. Nothing was being accomplished. Putting a foot forward to take a step was not working. Finally I told myself that it did not matter, and then it all fell back into place. 🙂
Merry Christmas!
Hi Becky. I hope that bungee cord lets loose for you. Busy-ness and other things can sure suck us in!
How about an escape to Taihiti? 🙂 Thanks for giving me a chuckle.
Oh yeah, that would be the ticket!!
“…live for this very moment.” And never forget, you only live once!!!!!!! (or so they say. how i’d love to do some things over again!!!)
My husband is quite a bit more laid back than I am. It can be a good mix with the right attitude. What is positive about it is that he has taught me, just by example, to live for the very moment. Worry does not change a thing. When it looks like the day is going to fold in, remember it could be a lot worse. Figure out a way to shake it off and laugh. But, honestly, I need a nudge now and then!
Yes, ma’am, Lynnanne, there are some things I would love to live over again too!
I don’t know, perhaps just slowing the clock down now would be better?
Good morning! I love your photo this morning! That’s a place I’d love to escape to! You know what “they” say – “the best laid plans of mice and men…”
Several monkey wrenches have been thrown into the mix here at our house, too, but we just have to regroup and go to plan x, y, or z. It’ll all work out.
Merry Christmas to you and yours! Have a very blessed holiday season!
Hello, Vickie. Monkey wrenches, good way to word it. Yes, it will all work out.
Wouldn’t it be nice to be sitting there, being that child, next to the water, careless? I guess we can be there any time we want. Can’t we?
I hope you have a Merry Christmas as well.
Great post. I think everyone feels this way at one time or another, especially around the holidays. You give very good advise.
I received all my order and the soaps smell TERRIFIC! I know my kids are going to LOVE them. I can’t wait to get mine out and try it. Thank you so very much for the fast service. Wishing you a Very Merry Christmas and stress free New Year.
Susan
I am happy that you are pleased with your order, Susan. If you need anything, let me know.
