Warning…you are not drunk, but you may get dizzy. The following photos were snapped in a moving truck on a mobile phone. The horizon is on a tilt!!!!
Some of my favorite houses and farms near our abode:

Majestic Old Farm House

Another older farm...I love them!!!

This property always intriques me. Only the front center is human living quarters, the remainder is barn!

This home is beautiful year round!

Waving hello and goodbye to my (much loved) vet!

Mammoth gas pipeline coming through Ohio farmland. Natural gas stretching all the way from Texas.

Almost home! Hard to see the roller coaster-like dips in the road. In the group of trees to the left sits our house. From this very window, behind the house, we look over the roof lines of our neighbors. The area goes from flat to not flat at all!
Glad you could join me on a Sunday drive!
It is nice to be able to view your surrounding countryside and glimpse your home just up the road. Aren’t Sunday drives nice?
There are some interesting homes and structures there but I am also intrigued by the home wrapped around by the barns. That is the way many old European and early American homes were built for very practical reasons. I would love to see the inside of this place…bet you would too.
I am determined to replace my digital camera in September. I have recently been very interested in carrying a camera with me when I am out and about. The cell camera does okay, but it makes for small photos!!
Kathy, the homes in Europe fascinate me. A barn on the first floor, for example, living quarters on the 2nd floor, the livestock indoors during the winter keeps the houses warm for the humans. Oh yes!!! I would love to visit some of those places.
Loved the Sunday drive around your town.
Thanks for taking us along.
I love the older farm houses and plantation houses. I’ll have to get some pictures from around here to share. I just like to have a little history to go along with them.
Thanks for the Sunday drive, Mary.
And now I know why Ohio is such a popular place to put down stakes. The farmland is gorgeous and the accompanying homes and barns are so easy on the eyes. I could definitely live in that barnhouse.
And it’s cool that so many of them are white. I bet they get lost in the snow…
Nice pictures Mary!
Amy
Becky, love the farms! You always have great photos too.
Alix, farms and older homes are dotted throughout our area of Ohio. I am glad many are still standing.
Thank you, Amy
Lovely drive with you this Sunday – Thanks!
